About us
Hector Freitas
Hector has a background in commodities and a strong network in the financial industry. He has over 18 years of experience in commodity financing and risk management with various client focused teams across the globe for Deutsche Bank, Morgan Stanley and UBS. Most recently, as Managing Director of UBS in London and Zürich, he led their global commodity business for commodities and precious metals as well as co-heading currency sales in Switzerland, both within the Investment Bank. Hector holds a master’s degree from the Vienna University of Business Administration & Economics, with a specialisation in logistics.
Most recently, Hector has been focusing on the disruption and transformation of our food system. The future of food is a key and arguably the most relevant initiative for our planet and people. His deep experience in the commodity space and his connection to the financial sector give Hector the opportunity to supply services to and attract talent and capital into this strongly growing sector.
